Decorative Paint Effects

The art of graining and marbling as a craft in its own right has existed for centuries. Wonderful results can be produced when decorative paint effects are used on their own, or in conjunction with other decorative techniques such as gilding.

The studio undertakes client's projects on large surface areas such as walls, floors, ceilings and columns. It can also be used on smaller items such as frames, furniture, panels and screens.

Trompe l'oeil
The name trompe l’oeil (French for deceive the eye) refer to a method of decorative painting. Light, shade and perspective are employed by the artist to give a flat painted image a three dimensional appearance, often including an element of humour.
